In 2024, we welcomed a new Police and Crime Commissioner and recently a new Chief Constable—bringing fresh leadership and renewed ambition to policing and community safety in the county.
In March 2025 the Police and Crime Commissioner launched an ambitious new five-year Police and Crime Plan—setting out a bold vision for a safer Hertfordshire. This marks an exciting time to join our team as we build the capacity and capability to deliver on this vision.

About the Role
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide expert advice to the Commissioner on a wide range of policing and crime matters. You will lead on the development and delivery of innovative policy, drive partnership activity, and play a central role in coordinating the implementation of the new Police and Crime Plan.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is an elected official however the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner is a non-political office the posts within are politically restricted.
