Administration of Justice Case Coordinator

£25,758 - £27,690

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team dedicated to the management of case files from the police into the Criminal Justice partnership. As a Case Coordinator, you will have responsibility and oversight of higher profile cases, as well as managing a small team of Case Administrators.

Your role will include the progression of remand cases to the Remand Court, ensuring that the release of high risk offenders is effectively considered by the Judiciary daily. This is vital in our commitment to keep the public safe. Where offenders remanded in custody make application for bail, your role will be crucial to obtain up to date information the Court can consider in bail review hearings.

You will play a key role in the allocation of charge and bail cases across your teams and into appropriate Court hearings, and ensure that Postal Requisition cases are processed effectively and in a timely fashion.

You will be the first line manager for a small team, ensuring their training and development needs are met, and assisting them in the management of their workload. You will be accessible to enquiries from the Crown Prosecution Service, ensuring Case Action Plans receive proportionate grip for resolution. Where required you will handle enquiries from the Judiciary, ensuring responses are prioritised appropriately. Crucially you will ensure that victims and witnesses of crime are referred into appropriate Victim and Witness care units, to ensure they receive the best support.

Reporting to a Team Leader, this role within an enthusiastic and focused unit provides a rewarding opportunity to enhance the Criminal Justice partnership, and obtain the best outcome for victims and witnesses of crime.

The team is based in Hatfield, but manage criminal cases from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. As such, your employment will be contracted to Bedfordshire or Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
